Artifacts of Josephine

Here's the third and final drawing in my Napoleon and Josephine series. Done in black ink, it depicts two artifacts from Josephine's lifetime, a formal court gown and a lovely oil painting called "The Empress Josephine," painted by Pierre-Paul Prud'hon (her friend and favourite artist). I think of this drawing as taking place in the present, from my perspective, as I look at the objects which surrounded the French Empress and wonder how she lived.
